The Egger short form trumpet has been the classic from Egger for many years. It uses the 3-hole system. The Egger long form trumpet combines the practical advantages of the 4-hole system with the authenticity of the natural trumpet without ventholes. As an absolute classic, it has a radiant and extremely mixable sound combined with a very direct response and good intonation.
Depending on the historical original of the bell, the instrument can be used for Renaissance, Baroque, Classical as well as Romantic music. It can be playable in virtually all keys of the historical trumpet literature. For high keys from F430 upwards, the high-F trumpet is required. It is not without reason that soloists and orchestra professionals around the world have long relied on them.

Towards the end of the Classical era, a variety of designs evolved from the natural trumpet. Keyed trumpets heralded the beginning of this development. Nevertheless, invention trumpets without ventholes were used until late in the Romantic period and were complemented by stopped trumpets and slide trumpets.
In addition, after the invention of the valves in 1813, a whole family of valve instruments were added. The two most important representatives, piston and rotary valves, became influential for the great works of Romanticism.
Although built so differently, all these instruments have a dark, very characteristic sound in common. They are largely used with historical materials and working techniques such as stamping and the then emerging use of soft soldering technology.

In the 19th century offstage music for special instruments such as the post horn, the Aida trumpets and Lohengrin trumpets became inccreasingly popular. We offer a variety of these instruments.
For the most part, these are already instruments prescribed by the composer, such as Verdi’s Aida trumpets, which have already taken their usual form in his lifetime.
