It is remarkable and exciting what has been observed in recent years\/decades of developments among the Basel piccolo players: improvements in playing technique and musical expression, a higher differentiation of the sounds (multi-voiced), as well as the expansion of the march repertoire, which is also becoming more and more demanding.
