Slide part for 3-hole short trumpet

The slide trumpet is a variation of the 3-hole short form trumpet. The crook is replaced by the slide component. In combination with different leadpipes, modern and historical C and Bb keys are possible. It is used as “Tromba da Tirarsi”, which is required in various Bach chorale preludes among others.

  • Keys in C (440 Hz, 430 Hz or 415 Hz) and Bb (440 Hz, 430 Hz)

Slide part for short trumpet

D leadpipe

Results in C 440 Hz. This leadpipe is identical to the D leadpipe of the 3-hole short form trumpet.

C leadpipe

Results in C 430 Hz. This leadpipe is identical to the C leadpipe of the 3-hole short form trumpet.

Bb leadpipe

Results in C 415 Hz. Together with the 1/2 tone extension, results in Bb 430 Hz. This leadpipe is identical to the Bb leadpipe of the 3-hole short form trumpet.

D415/C415 leadpipe

Together with the 1/2 tone extension, results in Bb 440 Hz. This leadpipe is identical to the D415/C415 leadpipe of the 3-hole short form trumpet.

1/2 tone extension

Together with D415/C415 leadpipe results in Bb 440 Hz.
Together with Bb leadpipe, results in Bb 430 Hz.
