3-hole
Trumpet

3-hole trumpet with baroque bell after J.W. Haas, with bell exchanging mechanism, model in MDC, in C 440 Hz tuning

The classic from Egger for many years. The Egger short form trumpet is built equipped with the 3-hole system with an F/A hole and two ventholes.

Countless musicians appreciate the unique combination of its multifaceted, historical sound, as well as the precise response and good intonation.

Depending on the historical original of the bell, the instrument can be used for Renaissance, Baroque, Classical as well as Romantic music. The Egger short form trumpet allows all keys of historical trumpet literature to be played on a single instrument and also impresses with its extraordinarily practical and ergonomic handling.

  • Available keys G, F, E, Eb, D, C, Bb, A (both 440 Hz, 430 Hz or 415 Hz)
  • Instrument in brass
  • Hand hammered bell

For me, the 3-hole short form trumpet is the ideal instrument in terms of playability, sound, intonation and dynamics.

With this instrument I can ideally implement my idea of baroque trumpet music. In countless concerts and recordings, the 3-hole Egger baroque trumpet has proven itself!

3-Hole
F Trumpet

3-hole F Trumpet with baroque bell after J.W. Haas, historic model, in F 415 Hz tuning

The special version of the short trumpet for the high tunings. Due to its shorter design, it can be played up to the F tunings in the 3-hole system with an F/A hole and two ventholes.

Countless musicians appreciate its use in high baroque parts such as Bach’s 2nd Brandenburg Concerto. However, it can also be used for pieces where rapid changes of tuning are required such as Mendelssohn’s Elias, in which this is only possible with a second instrument.

  • Available tunings F, E (both 440 Hz or 415 Hz) and Es (440 Hz)
  • Instrument in brass
  • Hand hammered bell

Short form trumpet with slide
(Tromba da Tirarsi)

3-hole trumpet with slide component, with baroque bell after J.W. Haas, standard model, in C 440 Hz tuning

The slide trumpet is a variation of the 3-hole short form trumpet. The crook is replaced by the slide component. In combination with different leadpipes, modern and historical C and Bb keys are possible. It is used as “Tromba da Tirarsi”, which is required in various Bach chorale preludes among others.

  • Keys in C (440 Hz, 430 Hz or 415 Hz) and Bb (440 Hz, 430 Hz)
