Together with the 3-hole short form trumpet for many years the classic from Egger. The Egger long form trumpet combines the practical advantages of the 4-hole system with the authenticity of the natural trumpet without ventholes.
Countless musicians appreciate the unique combination of its multifaceted, historical sound, as well as the precise response and good intonation.
Depending on the historical original of the bell, the instrument can be used for Renaissance, Baroque, Classical as well as Romantic music. The Egger 4-hole trumpet allows all keys of historical trumpet literature to play up to E (440 Hz). For higher keys we offer the F trumpet.

The Egger trumpet that I have played is without question a most fantastic piece of design. Its aesthetic beauty along with its uncannily accurate tuning across the range and high quality craftsmanship, have made it an instrument I’ve been incredibly proud to own and play on for many concerts and recordings over the last decade.

F Trumpet
4-Hole F trumpet, historic model, in F 415 Hz tuning
The special version of the long form trumpet for the high tunings. Due to its shorter design, it is playable in the keys of F, E and Eb.
Countless musicians appreciate its use in high baroque parts such as Bach’s 2nd Brandenburg Concerto. However, it can also be used for pieces where rapid changes of tuning are required such as Mendelssohn’s Elias, in which this is only possible with a second instrument.

Model Krisztian Kovats
4-hole trumpet Model Krisztian Kovats, model in MDC, in D 415 Hz tuning
This model was developed with the baroque trumpet specialist Krisztian Kovats. The aim of the development was to orient even closer towards the original instruments in terms of construction and sound. At the same time, the best possible intonation should be achieved, which meets today’s requirements for difficult solo parts.After testing and examining numerous original instruments, the decision was made to lean on trumpet No. 7160 from the National Music Museum in South Dakota and design it for the 4-hole system.The bell is longer and the pipe diameter narrower than the usual 4-hole trumpets. As a result, the instrument in its characteristic comes closer to the historical models. At the same time, it is made of MDC sheet metal, an alloy used in the 18th century. The garland is hand engraved and silver-plated, the ball and all the ferrules are decorated with ornaments after Ehe and also silver-plated. All pipe parts are burnished.
