Sehr geehrte Kundschaft

Dear customers,

the time as come when we can see you all again!

As of today we are open to visitors again, however we have to set some hopefully momentary restrictions.

We have reduced opening hours: 10:00 to 16:00, from Monday until Friday.

However it is always possible to make an appointment outside these opening hours. We can receive up to three customers at the same time and therefore we highly recommend to make an appointment, in order to not let you down if you want to visit us spontanuously.
Our safety instructions regarding are presentend in German, English and French at our shop's entrance.

Best regards - stay healthy!

Classical Trombones

Through a slow forming of the brass and directed use of historical production techniques, the HISTORIC trombones have sound and response qualities very similar to those of original instruments. This is the reason that HISTORIC and STANDARD instruments sound differently despite having the same dimensions, and despite the STANDARD instruments also being made partly using historical production techniques

STANDARD
Instrument in brass; bell entirely hand hammered; German silver (nickel silver) inner slides, chrome plated; sleeves decorated; garland and bell stay engraved.
HISTORIC
Instrument in brass; bell entirely hand hammered; brass slides; all tubing except slides and sleeves made from hammered sheet metal with soldered seam according to historical examples; sleeves, garland and bell stay decorated; the instrument is burnished by hand according to historical methods before it is polished.

The alto trombone after Crone has historical slide positions. The Schmied trombones are available with historical or modern slide positions, that is, with the rim of the bell in 4th or 3rd position respectively. All of our Classical trombones are equipped with a tuning slide at either A=430 or 440 Hz (to be specified by the client).
